Here is a nice recipe for Metropolitan, with brandy, sweet vermouth, bitters and superfine sugar.

• 1 dash bitters
• 1 tsp superfine sugar
• 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
• 2 oz brandy

In a shaker half-filled with crushed ice, combine all of the ingredients.
Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.

Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
