Here is a nice recipe for Highball Cocktail, with whiskey and ginger ale.

• 1 1/2 oz whiskey
• fill with ginger ale

Fill a medium glass most of the way with 4 - 5 ice cubes.
Add the whiskey, and fill the rest up of the way with ginger ale.

Serve in a Old-Fashioned Glass.
