Here is a delightful recipe for Edith Day Cocktail, with dry gin, grapefruit juice, egg and sugar.

• 1 1/2 oz dry gin
• 1 egg white
• 1 oz grapefruit juice
• 1/2 tsp sugar

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
Shake vigorously.
Pour over shaved ice in a champagne flute, and serve.

Serve in a Champagne Flute.
